Almarose manages some of the best Hotels & Resorts in the UK. With a wealth of experience and knowledge of the hotel and resort market, they manage 20 full-service four-star hotels with over 2,800 bedrooms and 220 meeting rooms, including 18 spas and 12 golf courses across 7 resorts.
With their ever growing portfolio of hospitality venues, the need for highly trained chefs has become increasingly apparent across their business. Since joining forces Almarose and Inspiro have collaborated together to create and launch Almarose’s very own Chef Academy. The Chef Academy offers a complete learning experience by providing a learning environment that allows prospective chef’s to acquire practical skills, achieve apprenticeship standards and build a long term career in the industry.
Launching on the 27th January at the Forest Pines Hotel, 8 external and 2 internal recruits for the Level 2 Commis Chef began their first day of learning and journey towards being a qualified Chef.
Alongside the practical demonstrations and learning, mentor support and guidance sessions were provided by Inspiro Trainers and formed a key element of the day. This is a key element of the Almarose Chef Academy, because development opportunities and support lie at the centre of the programme.
The Academy’s delivery model was created to establish a bespoke learner journey which consists of a suite of bespoke masterclasses, delivered throughout the year by inspiro Trainers and Almarose Hotels suppliers
Talking about the programme, Steph Webb, Inspiro National Account Manager adds ‘Working with Almarose to create the Chef Academy has been a pleasure for everyone at Inspiro – their commitment to nurturing talent is commendable, and we have jointly been able to develop an apprenticeship programme that really reflects this culture and commitment.’
