We are delighted to recognise the outstanding achievement of Tammy Ward, who has successfully completed her Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, receiving an overall Merit and an exceptional Distinction in her End Point Professional Discussion.
Tammy is a valued team member in the Central Region, supporting services at Rosary Road and Barnard’s Yard in Norwich, alongside Service Coordinator and Support Manager James Brown and his small but impactful team. Her learning journey was supported by Inspiro Learning.
Tammy’s End Point Assessor from Highfield Assessment shared the following praise:
“Tammy spoke confidently about her role as a Lead Adult Care Worker, reflecting on real-life examples and demonstrating clear skill and competence. She showed a strong understanding of supporting individuals with complex needs using a person-centred approach that promotes dignity, inclusion, empowerment, and active participation.”
“She clearly articulated how she balances safeguarding responsibilities with individual choice, manages risk appropriately, and encourages independence. Tammy provided examples of raising safeguarding concerns through a multi-disciplinary team, advocated courageously on behalf of individuals, and demonstrated effective collaboration with external agencies to meet holistic needs and improve service delivery.”
“Tammy also shared how she continues to develop professionally, supports colleagues in their growth, and mentors team members by sharing her own research and experience.”
Tammy is the longest-serving colleague at the Rosary Road service for homeless men, second only to the dedicated night team. Her consistency and compassion have been a reassuring presence for customers through many staff changes.
Her team is immensely proud of her journey, achievements, and the personal and professional growth she has shown throughout her apprenticeship. Tammy now continues in a permanent role as Housing Management Coordinator, currently supporting additional responsibilities while a new Support Coordinator is on-boarded.
