JD Sports, one of the UK’s leading sports and fashion retailers, has partnered with Inspiro Learning, a leading provider of apprenticeship programmes, to expand their successful skills and development programme.
Launched in March 2023, the programme initially provided training to JD’s warehouse and office-based personnel at their distribution sites in Rochdale and Derby. With over 3,000 employees working at the Rochdale Distribution Centre, the programmes are enabling colleagues to take up an apprenticeship to advance their skills and careers with the retail giant.
Building on the success of the apprenticeship programmes with Inspiro within the Distribution Centres, the partnership has now been expanded to include retail employees in all 402 JD Sports outlets across England. This is enabling JD Sports to provide its customers with a highly knowledgeable and skilled workforce, which is essential for delivering exceptional customer service. Working collaboratively and in partnership with Inspiro and JD’s Apprenticeship and Learning and Development team, the apprenticeship programme created offers a mix of remote learning and face-to-face delivery.
